The Carlyle Junior High School seventh-grade volleyball team won at St. Rose 25-14, 25-11.
Carlyle was down 11-9 in the second set. The Indians went on a 16-0 run to end the match. Chelsey Glasscock had 15 straight service points to end the match.
St. Rose led 7-6 in the opening set after three straight Elizabeth Snyder service points. Carlyle went on a 10-0 run and led 16-7 after nine straight Angeleen Wesselmann service points. St. Rose got within six points at 18-12. Carlyle scored two straight points to take a 20-12 lead following a Jacie Bosler service point. St. Rose scored two straight points and got within 20-14 after a Kayden Barriger service point. Carlyle scored five straight points and won the set on four straight Camryn Nolte service points.
Carlyle ends its season by hosting Albers/Damiansville on Friday.
