Diane M. Winkeler, age 59, of Albers, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 10, 1966, in Breese, the daughter of the late Robert and Clara (née Schulte) Kohrmann. Diane married Thomas “Tom” A. Winkeler on September 30, 2000, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Olivia Winkeler and Grant Winkeler both of Albers; her siblings, Deborah Litteken of Trenton and Eric (friend Joan Gober) Kohrmann of Mascoutah; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alphonse and Kay (née Gross) Winkeler of Albers; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna (Robert) Yaeggi of Buckeye, AZ, Jeff (Cindy) Winkeler of St. Louis, Pam (Kevin) Timmermann of Trenton, and Steven (Laura) Winkeler of Newburgh, IN; her nieces and nephews, Terri (Joe) Butler, Christopher (Gloria) Kohrmann, Chad (Tricia) Litteken, Bryan (Kim) Litteken, Jeff (Maggie) Litteken, Rhea (Andy) Sax, Benjamin Winkeler, Julia Winkeler, Phillip (Amanda) Winkeler, Nathan (Kate) Scheffler, Chris Scheffler, and Amelia Winkeler; and seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Kohrmann; a niece, Dana Litteken; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Kohrmann.
Diane worked as an Executive Assistant at Commerce Bank in Clayton, MO and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, playing bingo, and especially cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown, with Deacon Kevin Templin officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to TSC Alliance (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex), Hospice of Southern Illinois, or to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Thomas Winkeler) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, P.O. Box 117, Germantown, IL 62245, who is serving the family.
