Pauline C. Kraemer, age 91, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born May 1, 1934, on a historic farm in O’Fallon Township, a daughter of the late Emil and Mathilde (nee Heyd) Keller.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Bud” Kraemer, whom she married October 1, 1966, at the O’Fallon United Church of Christ and who died May 11, 2004; brother, Norman Keller; sister, Arline (Bill) Magee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Elsie (nee Gustmann) Kraemer; and sisters-in-law, Lorena (Charles) Graul and Imogene Zeeb.
Pauline is survived by her sons, David Kraemer and Daniel Kraemer, both of Trenton; grandchildren, Lorena Kraemer, Johanna Kraemer, and Kaelyn (Zach) Winkeler; sisters, Ruth (Gene) Augustin and Linda Niebruegge; sister-in-law, Henrietta Keller; and nieces and nephews.
Pauline worked for many years at Jim’s Formal Wear as an inspector and also worked alongside her husband, Bud, on the family farm. She was a faithful member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton. A devoted encourager, Pauline proudly supported her sons and grandchildren in their 4-H activities. She had a true love for cooking and baking, and her meals were cherished by family, friends, and the hired hands she often cooked for. Above all, Pauline loved her family and treasured every moment spent together.
Funeral Service will be Monday, January 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Christy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Livestock Boosters of St. Clair County and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton IL 62293, who is serving the family.
