Shirley Ann Suski, 77, of Lebanon, Ill., passed away peacefully from pulmonary failure due to pneumonia complications on May 4, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Shirley was born October 1, 1947 to Raymond and Barbara Boos. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, her sisters Barbara and Margaret, along with her 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was always the pillar of the family, where everyone went for advice or just a calming word. She loved her dogs, and she was very active in St. Clare Church. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers Shirley requested that donations be made to the ASPCA, St. Clare Church, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Shirley will be remembered for her huge heart, sharp wit, and dry humor. She brought joy and peace to every person she met and always made you laugh. She accepted her diagnosis with grace and spent her remaining time visiting with her loved ones. Her temperament, wisdom, and presence can never be replaced, but she will live on through her children and grandchildren – which is all she ever wanted.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, May 16, at St. Clare Catholic Church, Shiloh, Ill., with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding. There will be a 1-hour visitation prior to the service, and a gathering of family and friends afterwards in the church hall.
An on-line guestbook is available at www.wfh-ofallon.com. Services were entrusted to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O’Fallon, Ill.
