Majorie A. “Marge” Tebbe, age 77, of Highland, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born July 16, 1948, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Monroe and Velma (nee Mueller) Tebbe, who preceded her in death.

Marge is survived by her brother, Ron (Joyce) Tebbe of Highland, IL; nephews and nieces, Jason Tebbe, Alana Tebbe, Andrew Tebbe, Kyle Tebbe, Dena Tebbe, Hayden Willeford and Landon Willeford; as well several close friends and cousins and her beloved dog, Sadie.

Marge graduated from Triad High School, then continued her education at McKendree College earning her bachelor’s in education and then her master’s in education from SIU-E. She taught sociology, health & P.E. for 44 years at Mater Dei.

Marge loved people and animals. Her beloved dog, Sadie, was her constant, dearly loved companion. Marge was also a dedicated member of a retired MD teachers’ group, thoroughly enjoying their monthly lunches, laughter, and lifelong connections. Marge was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed playing golf and pickleball. She enjoyed spending peaceful hours nurturing her beautiful plants and garden.

Family held a special place in Marge’s heart. She was the ultimate fun-loving aunt, creating unforgettable memories camping with her friends, nieces, and nephews. Her supportive nature and love for adventure shaped the lives of the younger generation. She proudly taught her nephew how to cross-country ski and enjoy the winter snow, and she set her niece on a path of health and confidence by buying her very first pair of running shoes. Marge’s kindness, active spirit, and devotion to her loved ones will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Highland with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding. Interment will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Highland.

In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Mater Dei High School or Metro East Humane Society and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, who is serving the family.
