Lisa M. Hoerchler, age 60, formerly of Breese, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Evercare of Lebanon. She was born June 17, 1966, in Breese, a daughter of Mary Louise Hoerchler (nee Wempe) of Breese and the late Henry G. “Red” Hoerchler.
In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her siblings, Michele (Tom) Schulte, Krista (Bryan) Gonzalez, and Jaime (Ricky) Gonzales, all of Breese; nephews and nieces, Ryan (Lauren) Athmer, Kendra Athmer, Maddyson (Tyson Thole) Athmer, Bret Schulte, Brooke (Clay) Liening, Brianne (Wil) Smith, Cortney (Kyle) Walker, Chelsea (Keegan) Anderson, Evan Gonzales, Trenton (Rinn) Rush, and Trinity (Colby) Minder; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father; brother-in-law, Troy Crocker; and grandparents, Agnes (nee Hilmes) and Henry G. Hoerchler Sr., Eileen (nee Blackburn) Hoerchler, and Virgil and Leonarda (nee Rosen) Wempe.
Lisa formerly worked at Aviston Countryside Manor in housekeeping and laundry, where she enjoyed caring for others through her work. She also spent ten years ushering at St. Louis Cardinals games, something she truly enjoyed as a Cardinals fan. Lisa was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese and the Breese American Legion Auxiliary Unit 252.
Lisa will be remembered for her love of family and the simple joys that meant the most to her. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, cross stitching, and spending time with those she loved. Whether visiting with family, cheering on the Cardinals, or working on a cross-stitch project, Lisa found happiness in the little things and treasured the moments spent with the people closest to her.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Dominic – St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese with Deacon Jay Fowler officiating.
Memorials in honor of Lisa may be made to VITAS Hospice or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and will be received at the service or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
