Kevin T. Bauman, age 50, of Galatia, and formerly of Belleville, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home unexpectedly. He was born October 6, 1975, in Belleville, a son of Gerald “Jerry” and Dorothy “Dot” (nee Holthaus) Bauman of Breese.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by brother, Mark (Tammy) Bauman of Hillsboro; niece, Samantha (Michael) Keller; nephews, Jacob (fiancée, Sydney Herpstreith) Bauman and Joshua Bauman; great-niece, Anna Keller; and great-nephew, James Keller.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emil and Mathilda Bauman and Frank and Antionette Holthaus.
Kevin was a graduate of St. Teresa Grade School and Belleville East High School. He went on to earn his degree in Agronomy from Southeast Missouri State University. He was currently employed by Pioneer Seed Co., where he served as a territory manager and was well respected by colleagues and clients alike.
Kevin’s joys in life were many. He loved fishing in his pond and at Rend Lake, cooking, and pursuing a variety of hobbies that filled his spare time. His kind heart was evident in his compassion for animals, especially the stray dogs and cats he took time to feed and care for.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding and Deacon Jay Fowler assisting. Interment will follow at St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
