Jennifer R. Nicholson, age 44, of Breese, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born August 13, 1981, at Scott Air Force Base, the daughter of Donna (nee Hurst) Nicholson of Breese and the late John Nicholson.
In addition to her mother, Jennifer is survived by her children, Madelyn Nicholson of Breese, Jay Smith of Edgewood, MD, Login Smith of Breese, Emily Smith of Breese, and Ella Nicholson of Breese; grandson, Callum Nicholson-Hustedde; siblings, Diane (Jerome) Nicholson-Eiler of Peru, IN, Elizabeth Nicholson-Graham of Oregon, Khara (friend, Bill Smith) Hurst of Abingdon, MD, and Lauren Nicholson of Breese; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Rose Hurst; and paternal grandparents, John and Madelyn Nicholson; and nephew, Sean Nicholson.
Jennifer will be remembered as a loving mother who thought the world of her children. She had a deep love for animals, enjoyed coloring books, and was a passionate Baltimore Ravens fan as well as a proud Central Cougars supporter.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Coping for Life and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, which is serving the family.
