Jennifer L. Green, age 43, of Greenville, and formerly of Germantown, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital. She was born May 12, 1982, in Breese.
Jennifer was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister whose life was centered around her family. She married the love of her life, Joseph Green, on November 13, 2016, in Carlyle, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jennifer is survived by her loving parents, Linda (nee Olliges) and Gerald Hemker of Germantown; devoted husband, Joseph Green, of Greenville; children, Trevor Huegen of Bartelso, Paisley Green of Greenville, Bentley Green of Greenville, Brayden Green of Greenville, Joey (Caitlyn) Green of Aviston, Jimmy Green of Alton, and Amber Green of Aviston; grandchildren, Bennett and Josie Green, Braxton Green, and Ava Green; siblings, Jessica (Craig) Kuhl of Breese, Tyler Hemker of Germantown, and Tracy (Nicholas) Melton of Germantown; grandmother, Rose Olliges (nee Pollmann) of Germantown; sister-in-law, Bonita Green of Tennessee; father, Michael Berry of Richview; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her son, BJ Green; grandparents, Edward Olliges, and George and Marie (nee Wiese) Hemker; father-in-law, Billy Green; mother-in-law, Dianna Kincaid; and uncle, Jerry Olliges.
Jennifer was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She also previously worked as a heavy equipment operator with Local 520 in Granite City. She was a former member of St. Cecilia and St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Jennifer had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and searching for arrowheads. She especially cherished her time spent working and making memories at the “funny farm.” She also enjoyed crafting and, above all, treasured the time she spent with her children and family.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Thomas Lugge presiding. Interment will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to an education fund for her children (checks payable to Jospeh Green) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, which is serving the family.
