Marilyn Lee (age 96) of Trenton died April 4, 2026, at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born October 25, 1929, in Breese, the daughter of Bernard and Agnes Dierkes and they preceded her in death.

 

Marilyn married Russell Lee on October 7, 1948, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton. Russell preceded her in death on February 12, 2002.

 

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Tracie (Tony) Lee-Lambert; her grandsons, Aaron and Austen (Ashlee) Lambert; her great-grandsons, Jacob and Charles Lambert; and her sisters, Joan Weisenfeld and Betty Wehrle.

 

Marilyn retired from a career of more than 30 years in Civil Service at Scott Air Force Base. During retirement, she volunteered with Tumbleweeds Garden Club, working in their educational department in the city park.  She also volunteered to work on various Park Booster projects. She was a member of the Trenton Emergency Management Services (TEMS). Marilyn was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 10:00-11:45 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.  A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m.  A luncheon will be held afterwards at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Trenton.

 

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home 105 S. Main St., Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
