Ronald H. “Ron” Mueller, age 78, of Shattuc, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital. He was born August 29, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Harry and Ernestine (nee Langenhardt) Mueller.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Barb Mueller (nee Christian) whom he married June 12, 1971, in University City, MO, and she survives in Shattuc. Ron is also survived by his daughters, Tina Romine of Breese and Kelly (Andy) Budner of Olivette, MO; grandchildren, Harley, Ashley, and Danny Romine, Christopher Mueller, and Danielle and Stephen Budner; two great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, George “Skip” Christian of Modesto, CA.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Cameron Bartlett and parents-in-law, George and Shirley (nee Smith) Christian.
Ron retired from Statewide Tire after many years of dedicated service in sales and roadwork and also spent time as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a proud member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, hunting, camping, boating, and fishing. Ron was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team.
Per Ron’s wishes, there will be no services.
Memorials in memory of Ron may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be received by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
