Judith M. “Judy” Pariseau, age 79, of Breese, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Evercare of Breese. She was born January 7, 1947, in Breese, the daughter of the late Vincent and Clara (nee Wolters) Niemann.

 

Judy married Joe Pariseau, on February 24, 1968, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2023. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark “Sparky” Niemann; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Horace and Pauline (nee Grondin) Pariseau.

 

Judy is survived by her children, Denise (Vincent) Williams of Roscoe, IL, Diana (Tony) Keys of Moore, OK, and Curtis (Dani Johnson) Pariseau of Carlyle, IL; grandchildren, Kari (Eric) Woodruff, Abigail Keys, and Mia Keys; great-grandson, Armin Woodruff, and she was joyfully anticipating the birth of her second great-grandchild; siblings, Jane (Thomas) Lohman of Manhattan, KS, Virgil Niemann of Breese, and Ed (Pat) Niemann of Breese; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joyce Niemann of Aviston, John (Mary Ellen) Pariseau of Dalton, MA, Richard (Marcella) Pariseau of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, and JoAnn Pariseau of Newport, VT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Judy graduated from Mater Dei Catholic High School in 1966. She continued her education later in life, earning her associate degree from Kaskaskia College in 1992 and her Bachelor of Arts degree from McKendree College in 1994. She formerly worked at Scott Air Force Base as a secretary and travel agent and also served Central Community High School as a tutor and substitute teacher.

 

She was a devoted member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, the HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, and the Breese American Legion Auxiliary Unit 252, where she served as past chair of the Americanism Program. Judy was also past treasurer of the Clinton County Historical Society and helped establish the Breese Historical Society, serving as its past president. In 1994, she created a family history book titled “The Niemann Family Life Journey.”

 

Judy enjoyed genealogy, reading, playing euchre, scrapbooking, traveling, and staying active. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson, whom she loved dearly.

 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese, with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

 

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Clinton County Historical Society or Residential Hospice and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
