Macy M. Haar, age 16, of Germantown, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, in rural Breese. Born on July 17, 2008, in Breese, Macy was the cherished daughter of Sara (née Wuebbels) Haar of Germantown and Colby Haar of Germantown.

Macy’s light shone brightly in her short life. A Junior at Central Community High School in Breese, she was a dedicated student with a loving heart and a generous spirit. Macy worked at Jodie’s Daycare in Damiansville, where her natural ability to connect with children brought joy to many. She was deeply honored to serve as an honorary committee member of the Jared Burke Foundation, reflecting her commitment to helping others.

Macy loved listening to music and treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She especially adored her younger brother, Max — their bond was unbreakable, and they made a point to lay next to each other every night. She also had a passion for shopping, a constant smile, and a heart full of kindness. She was always giving of herself and looking out for the well-being of those around her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Sara and Colby; her brother, Max Haar of Germantown; grandparents, Ed and Sharon (née Reinhardt) Wuebbels of Albers; great-grandmother, Pat (née Vollmer) Reinhardt; and many beloved uncles and aunts, Brian (Lynn) Wuebbels, Jenny (Jeremy) Rakers, Lisa Wuebbels, Kevin (Jana) Wuebbels, Laura (Tim) Barger, Mark (Taylor) Wuebbels, Katie (fiancé Chris) Wuebbels, Kevin (Tara) Haar, Becky (Jim) Choat, Sheila Hermeling, Stacy (Jerry) Hass, and Josh (Teresa) Haar.

She was welcomed into eternal life by her grandparents, James and Gerri (née Hermeling) Haar, and her aunt, Sheila Wuebbels.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster presiding. Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials are suggested to an Education Fund for Max (checks payable to Sara Haar) or the Jared Burke Foundation and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
