Robert W. “Bob” Norman, age 65, of Frogtown, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home. He was born July 7, 1959, in Cincinnati, OH, a son of the late Colleen (nee Taylor) and William “Sonny” Norman Jr.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Norman and Jeff Norman; and sister, Michelle Laux.
Bob is survived by his lifelong spouse of 42 years, Juanita Kuhl; four children, Bobby (fiancée, Christen Korte) Norman of Breese, Becky (Josh) Foppe of Breese, Michael (Kaitlyn) Norman of Breese, and Mandy (Peter) Brown of Webster City, IA; grandchildren, Anna Norman, Makenzie, Aubrie, Liam, and Wrenlee Foppe, and Matthew Norman; sister, Lori (Ronnie) Berry of Carlyle; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob spent over 20 years working in the Union Laborers Local 581 in Carlyle, after starting his career working for Jerry Berry pouring basements since he was 16. Throughout his life, Bob had a love for bowling, demolition derbies, fishing, and working in his home garden. He was often seen riding his mower around the yard taking his grandchildren on rides. Bob was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and always looked forward to football season to watch the Bengals play.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese. Interment will take place at Ellwood Cemetery in Breese.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Juanita Kuhl) and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
