The Marion County Genealogical Society will have its October meeting on Monday, Oct. 23, at 6:00 p.m., at the Society’s room, in Bryan-Bennett Library. The library is located at 315 South Maple Street, in Salem.
Myron Lloyd will discuss funeral practices, past and present. The public is always invited to all meetings.
Looking ahead, the November 27 meeting will feature Dr. Mark Murfin, telling about actress Jean Seberg and her involvement in the Black Nationalist Movement (1968-70) and the FBI’s COINTELPRO operation. There will be no meeting in December.
