Victoria “Vicky” Lisa Rose Snyder, Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy, Ret., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 14, 1948, in Sunflower, KS, the cherished daughter of the late Eugene “Gene” and Cynthia Rose.
Vicky is survived by her devoted husband, Nick James Snyder of Breese, whom she married in January of 1981 in Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by her children, Christopher Charles (Lori) Snyder of St. Louis, MO, Barbara Gilliam of St. Louis, MO, Ronald Eugene Snyder of Breese, and Nick (Nicole) Snyder, II of Breese, along with 5 beloved grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Deborah Schuler of O’Fallon, MO, and Cynthia (Jay) Kaminski of Chesterfield, MO.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Wayne Schuler.
Vicky dedicated 28 years of her life to serving in the United States Navy, retiring with the esteemed rank of Chief Petty Officer. Throughout her career, she exemplified dedication and commitment to her country.
A true family-oriented person, Vicky cherished every moment spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Per Vicky’s wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
