No parking will be allowed on the route for the Children’s Parade between 7:00 a.m. and noon on Saturday, October 28. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. and the restriction shall remain in effect until the parade ends. The parade travels westbound on Broadway starting at the library, proceeding south on Locust Street, then east on Second Street, and ending at Sycamore Street. During the Kiddies Parade vehicles must be off Broadway Street from Pine Street to Locust Street to Second Street. to Elm Street starting at 10:30 p.m.
There will be no parking allowed on the route for the Annual Halloween Parade starting at 5:30 p.m. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m. and the restriction shall remain in effect until the parade ends. The parade begins at Rhodes Street and travels southbound on Poplar Street (US Hwy. 51 South) until Calumet Street.
Due to several vehicles using the US 51 detour routes, no parking will be allowed on Locust Street from Rhodes Street to McCord Street. Locust Street will be a one way with southbound traffic only. Parking will also not be allowed on the side streets from Rasback Street to Kerr Street or from Locust Street to Elm Street. All vehicles will be removed at owner’s expense.
