The C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library in Mt. Vernon offers a variety of classes and special presentations. Below are some of their upcoming events.

Take-and-Make Craft Kits are available for adults and teens. Enjoy making crafts to decorate your home, to give as a gift or just for fun? Pick up a craft kit to make at home. Kits are for ages 13-18 and 19 and up. The kits can be picked up at the second floor reference desk on the first Wednesday of the month. There is a limited number of kits, and they are available on a first come basis.

Introduction to Bridge Tutorial will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26. Come and learn the basics of Bridge.

Booktalk by Brian Alvis is coming up. Brian will be talking about his book Bootlegger on Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. His presentation will cover the book and the local history behind the book. He will also cover the process that went into making it. Come and meet the characters from the book.
