SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. —
The 375th Air Mobility Wing conducted a week-long, all-encompassing exercise on Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Sept. 18-22, 2023.
Each day, a different scenario unfolded, including a bomb threat, a suspicious package, an active shooter situation, and a hazardous material spill.
The 375th AMW Inspector General team observed, with the mission of improving the wing’s overall discipline, readiness, and warfighting capacity through objective fact-finding.
“It allows the wing commander as well as the squadron commanders to assess and identify areas in which the units either excel or require attention,” said U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Benjamin Sickbert, 375th Air Mobility Wing Inspector General’s Office wing exercise and inspection planner.
Airmen across the 375th AMW collaborated to efficiently and effectively respond to the various threats.
“Overall, the wing very effectively demonstrated their capability to respond, contain, and recover from the scenarios that we gave them over the course of the week,” said Sickbert.
