The First distribution of the Marion County Real Estate Taxes (2022 payable 2023) is in the process of being distributed to Marion County Taxing Bodies. Marion County Treasurer Gary L. Purcell is distributing $24,231,230.60 to the following taxing bodies as follows: Schools, $13,511,504.78; Cities and TIFFS Districts, $2,689,976.65; County, $2,785,791.92; Twp. Road & Bridge, $1,032,941.67; Fire Districts, $1,229,979.55; Townships, $784,437.08; Centralia Reg. Library, $280,049.81; Salem Twp. Hospital: $145,316.25; Salem Airport, $37,552.85; Multi Township Assessor’s $44,718.76; Odin Cemetery, $2,666.03; Kaskaskia College, $1,609,297.22; Total, $24,231,230.60.
The second installment of the Real Estate Taxes (2022 payable 2023) is due September 27, 2023. Payments may be made at Marion County Courthouse, most financial institutions, by mail, online at ILmarion.com or at the drop box located on the West side of the Courthouse.
