Simply Soul and Big Daddy’s Floating Rib, LLC are local family food trucks that have been setting up in different locations around Centralia.

I had the opportunity to try the Jalapeno poppers and smothered chicken from Simply Soul and the rib tips and sides from Big Daddy’s Floating Rib. You do not want to miss out on their delicious food.

Micah Wright of Simply Soul

Simply Soul is owned by Isaac and Christina Wright. Their son Micah helps cook the food. Christina says she has been blessed to be able to help host social events with family and friends. Simply Soul views themselves as partners with the community and would like the community to know that they take pride in the food that they serve. Some of the food they serve is described as soul food, and Creole comforting food. To find out where this family food truck is set up, you can follow them on their website at simply-soul618.com or contact them at 346-831-4362. “Soul Food is compassion food, and it bonds loved ones together,” said Christina.

Big Daddy’s Floating Rib, LLC is owned by Jarrod and Shae Jones. You will find their son Elijah carrying food to your vehicle when it’s ready. Jarrod is a third generation BBQ food truck owner. The business was started by Jarrod’s grandpa Simon Franklin and then his parents Larry and Suzette Jones. “I decided it was time to relaunch the family BBQ business and make connections in the community with food and love,” said Jarrod. If you would like to find out when and where Big Daddy’s will be, you can find them on Facebook at Big Daddy’s Floating Rib, LLC or contact them at 618-907-0468.
