Last week we covered the new Illinois House Bill IL HB3751 that no longer requires a police officer in Illinois to be a U.S. citizen. Legal immigrants only have to have a work permit. As I said last week, this new law goes into effect on January 1, 2024, along with others that put U.S. citizens in jeopardy, like, no cash bail. I continue to feel sorry for our police officers that are controlled by unjust laws.

In reality, Illinois’ immigration policies are having a huge impact on public safety. Yet Pritzker continues to enact laws to make it virtually impossible for local law enforcement to do their job. Sadly, the end result is people who would normally be detained due to their immigration status are let go. And Americans committing crimes due to no cash bail are let go and are then free to commit more crimes, if that was their intent.

I’ve always been told a country with no borders is not a country. Obviously, many people wishing to immigrate to the U.S. want a better life, but my thought is if you put too many in the boat, all will sink. To lose control is to lose your country. If Biden hasn’t taught you anything else, he has had to succeed in this.

As I said earlier, most are coming with good intentions, but the fact remains that some are coming with no good intentions. A prime example is the loss of life in our country because of fentanyl.

One of the main jobs of our government, both federal and state, is to protect communities and citizens. But when we don’t enforce our laws and almost encourage crime like Pritker’s cash bail and IL HB3751 have done, all we do is put the police and the Illinois citizens in line for violence.

Illinois’ sanctuary state status has had an impact on our state’s finances. The budget allocated nearly $1 billion to go to programs and services for those who are in our state illegally. We are not going to give the people in Illinois who work even though they have developmental disabilities the $4.00 per hour raise they requested. And we aren’t going to extend an investment to kids who are waiting to escape failing schools. But we are going to put hundreds of millions of dollars into those who are here illegally. Our tax dollars should be going to help Illinois citizens, not illegals. Nothing Pritzker is doing is solving any of Illinois’ problems.

Moving on to Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer, who answered questions before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee recently as part of the GOP-led investigation into the corruption allegations surrounding the Bidens.

Archer testified that Hunter Biden put then Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone during business meetings over 20 times. Archer admitted that Joe was put on the phone to sell “the brand.” Yet Joe Biden, according to Joe, never discussed business with his son.

Archer did say he would be shocked if $5 million for Joe and Hunter was paid. But remember Archer was on the board of Burisma with Hunter, so in my opinion, he probably got his cut as well. Archer also said that Burisma would have gone under if not for “the brand.”

But back to the phone calls. U.S. Rep. Dan Goldman, a New York Democrat who was present during the questioning of Archer, downplayed any business dealing and did say to reporters that the phone calls were only friendly.

So who is Devon Archer? A former business partner to Hunter Biden who was a board member of Burisma along with Hunter Biden. Burisma is a Ukrainian energy company.

Archer was convicted in 2018 of two felonies in connection with a conspiracy to defraud a native American tribe and other investment advisory. The day after his testimony, Archer was to report to jail after many postponements and appeals in the 2018 case.

I was told Archer was a relative of the Heinz family. I found that not to be true. However, he was a college friend to Chris Heinz of the Heinz dynasty, a stepson of John Kerry’s.

Oh, the webs they weave!

Let me leave you with a few quotes this week.

“You don’t need God anymore; you have us Democrats.”
