SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital & SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital have teamed up to provide free bike helmets for kids. They will be giving away the helmets from noon to 6:00 p.m. (as long as supplies last) at the SSM Health Tent during Balloon Fest Family Day on Sunday, August 20. Balloon Fest will be held at Centralia Foundation Park, 1490 Gragg St. in Centralia, IL.
The SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Safety Program is dedicated to the wellbeing and safety of children of all ages. Through education and resources, the goal is to prevent childhood injuries, the majority of which are preventable, and contribute to the overall reduction of infant mortality. In partnership with Safe Kids Worldwide, and a variety of local organizations, Cardinal Glennon provides the tools you need to keep your children and babies safe at home, in the car and at play.
Some of the many services Cardinal Glennon offers include Infant and Child CPR classes, Baby Safety 101 classes, and distributing resources such as car seats, safe sleep environments, and bike helmets to families in need at no cost or reduced cost, and much more.
