Perry County and Washington County Master Gardeners held their annual meeting-picnic on Friday afternoon, June 23 at the Washington County Lake Family Pavilion picnic area. The group meets annually at the lake in continuation of former combined county organization of the two groups. The afternoon was spent in discussions relating to mutual gardening ideas and concerns. This group was started by the former University of Illinois Extension leader, Mr. Larry Paszkiewicz when the two counties represented the U of I extension regional area.
Attending were Michael Biesk, Sally Cook, Julia Karmeier, Janet Klie, Gene Klie, Mary Jo Knovak, Martha Lamczyk, Jon McClurken, Janet McClerken, Linda Summers, and Will Summers.
