On November 27, the Nashville FFA Major and Greenhand officers bought gifts for their yearly “Adopt A Family Christmas Shopping.” To begin the project, FFA members selected seven children to shop for from the Giving Tree at Prairie State Generating Company, LLC, located in Marissa, IL. This tree provides support for children across Washington County who are in need. Information provided for each child included clothing sizes, favorite color, any other specific needs, and special interests. The FFA members focused mainly on purchasing coats, bed sheets, clothing, and toys or special interest items. All purchases were taken to Prairie State Generating Company, LLC so they could be sent to the families. FFA members that participated in the event are: (L to R) Maddy Hasheider, Anna Bauza, Chloe Kurwicki, Jordan Schuette, Parker Ebert, Dallas Burr, Lexy Spratt, Erica Kujawa, Lily Tejada, Leila Rye, Jayla Ledford, Clara Kozuszek, Mackenzie Bauza, Makayla Winka, and Abby Cottom.
