The Centralia Orphan Spirit was felt Saturday throughout the evening as everyone cheered on the players with cow bells, chants, and shouts of enthusiastic support from the Orfanage during the 2023 Homecoming football game.
The Centralia High School dance team performed on the field to kick off the game. The CHS homecoming court made their appearance at halftime, and the new king and queen were crowned.
Centralia’s players were not lacking in performance when they ended the Homecoming game with a victory win against the Marion Wildcats 43–20. Centralia’s overall record is now 2–4, and they are 1–1 in the South Seven.
The next game is Friday, October 6 at Cahokia.
