The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 76 of Centralia recently made a $1,500 donation to the Centralia American Legion to help with the costs of this year’s fireworks at the Legion’s annual Fourth of July celebration at Fairview Park. This year’s festivities will be July 1–4. DAV Commander LeRoy Roper is pictured presenting the check to Commander Al Simmons of the American Legion. Donations are still being accepted to help with the cost of this year’s fireworks, which have doubled since last year.
