Memorial Day services are scheduled for Elmwood Cemetery on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday at 11 a.m.
The 16th Annual Memorial Celebration Service “A Time of Remembrance” at Elmwood is held in honor of the many Veterans from all wars who are buried at Elmwood Cemetery. The service will be held at the Pittenger War Monument located at the center of the cemetery.
The guest speaker will be Christopher Locke and will feature the Centralia American Legion and the Centralia VFW honor guard.
The event is hosted by Centralia’s Cemetery Advisory Board and the Veterans’ Affair Committee.
The Legion and VFW honor guard will also be at Hillcrest’s event on Monday.
