The Carlyle baseball team moved to 2-7 overall and 2-2 in the Cahokia Conference Illinois Division with a 6-0 win over Okawville.
Hayden Hoffmann threw a complete game two-hitter with 15 strikeouts and just one walk.
Carlyle scored one run each in the first, second, third and fourth innings to take a 4-0 lead. The Indians scored two runs in the sixth inning.
Dakota Rakers had two hits, including a double, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Josh Vonder Haar had two hits and scored two runs. Lukas Ellis had a triple and an RBI. Bryce Hunt doubled. Luke Birkner had a hit. Hayden Hoffmann had two RBIs. Kendal Rakers and Sam Ruscher both scored runs.
Carlyle hosts Red Bud on Friday.
