The New Baden Farmers Market for 2021 began Memorial Day weekend. It will go on during the last Saturday of the month until September. It opens at 8 am and closes at 1 pm rain or shine. Its sponsors are the New Baden Park Boosters and it is held at the community park.
The dates are June 26, July 31, Aug. 28 and Sept. 25. Local vendors and artisans are featured. Included are Behrmann Meats and Processing from Albers, Southerndown Farm, Senoah Creek Farm, The Narrow Road Family Farm, Sillie’s Sweet Treats, many more.
Items there are locally grown produce, handmade soaps, jams and jellies, honey, succulents, farmhouse finds, jewelry, home décor, handcrafted goods, pottery and treats such as Fantastick Pops, country kettle corn and Glitz Confections.
The New Baden Jaycees are serving a breakfast from 8 am to 1 pm at the Farmers Market. This includes croissant with cheese sandwiches from Berkmann’s Bakery with egg, bacon and sausage how you want it. There will also be burritos with bacon or sausage, single or double meat, egg, cheese, bacon and sausage with optional pepper and onions. For more healthy eating, fruit cups with fresh strawberries, pineapple and blueberries will be available.
