There will be repair work and asphalt resurfacing on Ferrin Road in Clinton County until late in June. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the road will be intermittently restricted to one lane beginning on May 24, weather permitting.
This will be going on between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flaggers will be there to direct traffic. Ferrin Road is southeast of Carlyle Road off Route 50. The work will be done between US 50 and Louis Street.
Motorists should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to construction signage and watch for changing conditions, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
